Free Engine Protection Warranty

Terms & Conditions

• Vehicles Coverage Period: Free Engine Protection Warranty eligible kilometers Start from 19,000 kilometers to 180,000 kilometers for four-wheeler private vehicle customers & 19,000 kilometers to 150,000 kilometers for commercial vehicle customers.
• The BookMyGarrage(BMG) Expert team will do the Complete Vehicle Inspection, Inspection Charges are applicable based on the Make & Model, The Customer has to book the vehicle Inspection at least a day before prepaid.
• Engine inspection will be done manually and technically using the Scanner tool.
• While Inspecting the Vehicle Test Drive will be conducted up to 10Kms along with the vehicle owner.
• If the Vehicle Chassis number is not clear or not able to be identified, then a warranty will not be provided to the particular vehicle.
• Post activation of “Free Engine Protection Warranty” If the BMG team found that the vehicle odometer was readjusted by the customer then “Free Engine Protection Warranty” will be deactivated.
• KYC will be verified to confirm the owner’s identity.
• Once the Inspection is completed BMG Expert team will provide the “Vehicle Inspection Report”, based on the Inspection report BMG Team Will Approve or Reject the “Free Engine Protection Warranty” for the particular Vehicle.
• Free Engine Protection warranty is applicable from 2010 for four-wheeler private vehicles and from 2017 for four-wheeler commercial vehicles.
• BookMyGarrage will affix a “Warranty Sticker” inside on the windshield.
• BookMyGarrage will affix “BMG Emblem Stickers” to protect the warranty wherever necessary.
• If the Vehicle is Eligible for the “Free Engine Protection Warranty” then the customer has to fill up to Rs. 3000 or above fuel from IOCL (Indian Oil Corporation Limited) Petrol Bunks only.
• Upon Filling the Fuel Customer has to upload the original Fuel bill into our application for Verification.
• The customer has to book and avail of one PMS (Preventive Maintenance Service), at BMG Authorized Service Partner centers only, post the PMS “Free Engine Protection Warranty” is activated.
• Service the Engine Cooling System Regularly: Your car’s engine cooling system cools the fluids used in the manual transmission system. These Fluids lubricate the internal mechanical parts to ensure that the gears move smoothly and prevent friction, which causes wear and tear. As such it's important to have your vehicle’s engine cooling system serviced every 12 months or 25000 kilometers whichever is early. Service Charges are applicable.
• Natural calamities like vehicle draining due to flood or heavy rain, accidental engine damage or external hit damage, coolant leakage, radiator leakage, crankcase leakage, and negligible/poor maintenance will not be covered under this warranty.
• If failure of the engine BMG will try to fix the engine as early as possible subject to the availability of the engine parts, if any delay in spare parts customers are requested to cooperate with us.
• Covered components include: connecting rods, oil pump, inlet & exhaust valves, cylinder head, timing gears, crankshaft & pulley, big end & main bearings, gudgeon pins, piston & rings, inlet & exhaust valves (excluding burnt & pitted valves), spring & guides, cylinder block, camshaft, rocker arms, shaft, tensioner bearings, water pump (failure due to external damage or corrosion is not covered).
• Components not covered under warranty: Labor Charges, Consumables, lubricants, oil seals, gaskets, external lathe charges, fuel injection pump (FIP), injectors/nozzles, turbo, not covered components & Services are chargeable.
• Maintenance required for claiming the warranty: Warranties often require following the warranty provider's recommended maintenance schedule, including oil changes, filter replacements, and other routine general check-ups & services from the BookMyGarrage Authorized Service Partners (ASP) only, every 10,000 kilometers or 10 months, whichever is earlier for four-wheelers.
• Every PMS customer should book a slot through the BookMyGarrage app at least a day before for a better service experience.
• The customer has to make the payment digitally only; no cash payment will be accepted.
• “Free Engine Protection Warranty” is applicable for the brands that are available on the App/Website.
• We use IOCL lubricants and consumables for all sorts of services.
